Target Information
TET1은 methylcytosine(5mC)에 특이적으로 결합하는 dioxygenase로, 5mC를 5-hydroxymethylcytosine(hmC)으로 전환시키는 효소입니다. 5hmC는 염색질 구조 조절 및 특정 인자 유도에 관여하거나, cytosine 탈메틸화의 중간 산물로 작용할 수 있습니다. ES 세포와 뇌(특히 Purkinje 뉴런)에서 풍부하게 존재하며, 태아기 심장, 폐 및 뇌 발달에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
