This peptide corresponds to 18 amino acids near the amino terminus of IL-17RA.
PEP-1614 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34571.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 min at 37ºC.

Target Information

Interleukin 17A (IL-17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It induces maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils.
IL-17RA is a type I membrane glycoprotein that binds with low affinity to IL-17A and IL-17F.
IL-17A and its receptor are implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
Defects in IL-17RA cause familial candidiasis type 5 (CANDF5), characterized by altered immune responses and impaired fungal clearance.
