Target Information
FAM120A may participate in mRNA transport in the cytoplasm and act as a critical component of oxidative stress-induced survival signaling. It activates src family kinases and serves as a scaffolding protein enabling phosphorylation and activation of PI3-kinase. Binds RNA and promotes secretion of IGF-II. May play a pivotal role in scirrhous-type gastric cancer progression by supporting cancer cell survival under oxidative stress. [UniProt]
