Target Information
PAI1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor 1)은 serine protease inhibitor 초과가족에 속하며, tissue-type 및 urokinase-type plasminogen activators (tPA, uPA)의 주요 억제제입니다. 혈소판이 주요 순환 PAI1의 공급원이지만, fibroblast, smooth muscle cell, endothelial cell, hepatocyte, 염증세포 등 다양한 세포에서 합성 및 분비됩니다.
PAI1의 발현은 성장인자, 사이토카인, 호르몬, 염증 인자, 대사물질, 혈관조절 인자 등 다양한 요인에 의해 전사 수준에서 조절됩니다.
비정상적으로 높은 PAI1 수준은 비만, 혈전성 질환, 대사증후군 등과 관련이 있으며, 결핍 시 출혈 이상이 나타날 수 있습니다. PAI1은 fibrinolysis 억제 및 신경세포 생존 촉진에 관여합니다.
