Product Description

Chlamydia trachomatis is a Gram-negative bacterium transmitted through contact with infected bodily fluids. It can cause conjunctivitis in newborns and genitourinary infections such as urethritis, epididymitis, prostatitis in males, and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) in females. Female infections are often asymptomatic but may cause pelvic pain, bleeding, and dysuria. Untreated infections can lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy.

Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a Gram-negative coccus that infects mucosal membranes of the urethra and endocervix. It induces inflammatory responses via polysaccharide release and shows rising antibiotic resistance. In males, complications include prostatitis or orchitis; in females, salpingitis or ovaritis, potentially leading to sterility.

Storage Conditions and Product Stability

All kit components are stable for 2 years from production without performance loss.
Store at -20 °C upon arrival. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw (>2×) of Master Mix and Positive Control. For intermittent use, aliquot reagents before freezing.
