Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of RNA-binding proteins containing three RNA recognition motifs (RRMs). It binds adenine- and uridine-rich elements in mRNA and pre-mRNAs of various genes, playing roles in translational control, splicing, and apoptosis. Alternate splice variants produce distinct isoforms that function differently in post-transcriptional silencing.
