Target Information
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase involved in ubiquitination of target proteins together with ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 UBE2L3. Functions as an atypical E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase by associating with cullin-RING ubiquitin ligase (CRL) complexes and mediating the initial ubiquitin addition to CRL substrates. Activated upon binding to neddylated CRL complexes. Plays roles in protein translation in response to DNA damage by mediating ubiquitination of EIF4E2, and may regulate degradation of the LINC complex member SUN2, influencing nuclear morphology.
