Target Information
Laminins는 세포외기질 당단백질(glycoprotein)로, basement membrane의 주요 비콜라겐 성분입니다. 세포 부착, 분화, 이동, 신호전달, 신경돌기 성장, 전이 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여합니다. Laminin의 효과는 integrin 계열 및 비-integrin 계열의 laminin-binding receptor를 통해 매개됩니다.
LAMR1 유전자는 고친화성 비-integrin 계열 laminin receptor 1을 암호화하며, 67 kD laminin receptor, 37 kD laminin receptor precursor (37LRP), p40 ribosome-associated protein 등으로도 불립니다. 이 단백질의 아미노산 서열은 진화적으로 높은 보존성을 가지며, 암세포에서 발현이 증가하여 침습성과 전이성과 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
본 유전자는 다수의 유사유전자를 가지며, 대부분은 역위치 삽입(retropositional) 사건에 의해 생성된 것으로 추정됩니다. 두 가지 alternative splicing 변이가 보고되었으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
