Product Specific Information
- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%); Monkey (89%).
- For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
- After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a chemokine receptor belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. Members of this family are characterized by the presence of seven transmembrane domains and numerous conserved amino acids. This receptor is most closely related to RBS11 and the MIP1-alpha/RANTES receptor and transduces a signal by increasing intracellular calcium ion levels. The viral macrophage inflammatory protein-II acts as an antagonist, blocking signaling. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
