The Ion AmpliSeq Library Kit Plus is designed for rapid preparation of amplicon libraries using Ion AmpliSeq panels. Ion AmpliSeq technology enables scalable, multiplex PCR from 12- to 24,000-plex in a single well. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) libraries can be prepared using as little as 1 ng of starting material.

Scalable and Efficient Library Preparation

Using as little as 1 ng of starting material, highly multiplexed PCR amplification of thousands of genomic target regions yields superior coverage uniformity and specificity, without requiring a specialized microfluidics PCR platform. Proprietary primer modifications enable removal of primer sequences during library preparation, ensuring efficient target assessment during sequencing.

Easy and Robust Protocol

The kit uses a plate-based format for easier sample handling and compatibility with automation and high-throughput laboratories. The protocol provides high yield and uniformity, delivering reliable and reproducible results. Libraries are ready for template preparation using the automated Ion Chef System or the Ion OneTouch 2 System, followed by sequencing. Data analysis can be automated via Torrent Suite Software and Ion Reporter Software.

Barcoded Sample Multiplexing

Includes reagents for generating amplicons using Ion AmpliSeq primers and preparing libraries from those amplicons. Supports barcoded library preparation using Ion Xpress Barcode Adapters (1–96) or IonCode Barcode Adapters (1–384). Barcoded libraries can be pooled and loaded onto a single Ion chip, reducing sequencing time and cost while enabling accurate sample comparisons.
