• For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rat serum, purified and partially purified Peroxidase (Horseradish).
Cross-reactivity against peroxidase from other tissues and species may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Target Information

Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is an enzyme derived from the root of the horseradish plant. It catalyzes the oxidation of a wide range of substrates in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. HRP is widely used as a detection enzyme in immunoassays such as ELISA and Western blot due to its high sensitivity and stability. It is also used as a tracer in enzyme-linked assays and as a labeling agent in fluorescent microscopy.
