Target Information
RB-like 1은 retinoblastoma 1 (RB1) 유전자의 산물과 서열 및 기능적으로 유사한 단백질입니다. RB1 단백질은 세포 주기 조절에 관여하는 종양 억제 단백질로, S기에서 M기로 전환 시 인산화되며 G1기에서는 탈인산화됩니다. RB1과 RB-like 1 모두 adenovirus E1A 단백질 및 SV40 large T-antigen과 복합체를 형성할 수 있으며, SV40 large T-antigen은 비인산화 형태의 단백질에만 결합합니다. 또한 두 단백질 모두 E2F 결합 부위를 포함한 세포 주기 관련 유전자의 전사를 억제할 수 있습니다. 이러한 유사성으로 인해 RB-like 1 역시 종양 억제 기능을 가질 것으로 추정됩니다.
