Target Information
CHMP3는 endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III)의 핵심 구성 요소로, multivesicular bodies (MVBs) 형성과 endosomal cargo 단백질의 분류에 관여합니다.
MVB는 내강 소포(ILVs)를 포함하며, 이들은 endosome 막에서 내측으로 함입되어 형성됩니다.
ESCRT-III 단백질은 ILV 방출 전에 막에서 분리되며, 세포질 분열의 마지막 단계나 바이러스 budding(HIV-1 등)과 같은 막 절단 과정에도 관여합니다.
CHMP3는 phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(3,5)P2) 및 PtdIns(3,4)P2에 선택적으로 결합하며, EGF receptor의 endosomal sorting/trafficking에도 역할을 합니다.
Isoform 2는 스트레스 매개 세포 사멸을 방지하고, yeast 세포에서 ROS 축적을 억제합니다.
