이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Ehlers-Danlos 증후군 IV형 및 대동맥·동맥류와 관련이 있습니다.
또한, 일부 변이로 인해 스플라이싱이 변형되어 여러 엑손이 제외된 전사체가 보고되었습니다.
