This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human ARID1A.

Target Information

The ARID1A gene encodes a member of the SWI/SNF family, which includes proteins with helicase and ATPase activities that regulate transcription by altering chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI, required for transcriptional activation of genes normally repressed by chromatin.
It has two conserved domains:

1. A DNA-binding domain recognizing AT-rich sequences at the beta-globin locus.
2. A C-terminal domain that stimulates glucocorticoid receptor-dependent transcriptional activation.
   ARID1A confers specificity to the SNF/SWI complex and may recruit it through protein-DNA or protein-protein interactions. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
