Target Information
FGF2 (FGFb, fibroblast growth factor basic)는 fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 계열에 속하며, 고친화성 막수용체와 상호작용하여 세포 증식 및 조직 혈관신생에 영향을 미칩니다. FGF2는 서로 다른 세포 내 위치와 기능을 가진 5개의 isoform으로 존재합니다.
18 kDa isoform은 주로 세포질에 존재하며 세포 표면 수용체를 통해 작용하고, 22, 22.5, 24, 34 kDa isoform은 핵 내에 존재하며 막수용체 비의존적 신호 전달을 할 수 있습니다.
인간에서 FGF2 유전자는 염색체 4의 q arm에 위치하며, 사지 및 신경계 발달, 상처 치유, 종양 성장 등 다양한 생물학적 과정과 관련되어 있습니다.
FGF2 mRNA는 여러 polyadenylation site를 가지며, AUG 및 non-AUG codon에서 번역되어 서로 다른 특성을 가진 isoform을 생성합니다. CUG-initiated isoform은 핵 내에서 intracrine 효과를, AUG-initiated isoform은 세포질에서 paracrine 및 autocrine 효과를 나타냅니다.
