Target Information
The Ras-related superfamily of guanine nucleotide binding proteins includes the R-Ras, Rap, Ral/Rec, and Rho/Rab subfamilies, which play important roles in endocytosis and biosynthetic protein transport. Rab proteins are essential for transporting newly synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi complex and secretory vesicles. Rab 39, also known as Rab 39A, is a 217 amino acid protein belonging to the small GTPase superfamily and may be involved in vesicular trafficking.
