Target Information
GAD65 (glutamic acid decarboxylase-65)는 자가면역 질환(예: 제1형 당뇨병, stiff man syndrome, 다선성 자가면역 질환)에서 발견됩니다.
자가항체는 신규 진단된 IDDM 환자의 60–70%에서 검출되며, 질병 활성도의 중요한 지표입니다.
이 항체들은 주로 GAD65의 입체 구조 의존적 영역을 인식하며, GAD67에는 거의 결합하지 않습니다.
GAD67에 대한 자가항체는 최근 발병한 IDDM 환자의 약 15%에서 발견되며, 대부분 GAD65로 차단될 수 있습니다.
이는 두 isoform 간의 공유 epitope이 존재함을 시사합니다.
