For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are proteolytic enzymes that degrade connective tissue components. They share a conserved activation mechanism and metal-binding active site, and are regulated by tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs).
MMP2, a 631-amino-acid proenzyme, is activated by cleavage of the first 80 amino acids and includes propeptide, catalytic, and hemopexin domains. MMP2 plays a crucial role in tissue remodeling and angiogenesis.
Mutations in the MMP2 gene are associated with Winchester syndrome and Nodulosis-Arthropathy-Osteolysis (NAO) syndrome. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms of MMP2 have been identified.
