Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
PAX5 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors.
The PAX proteins are important regulators in early development, and alterations in their expression are associated with neoplastic transformation.
PAX5 (BSAP) is expressed at early stages of B-cell differentiation and has also been detected in developing CNS and testis.
It may play roles in B-cell differentiation, neural development, and spermatogenesis.
Mutations in PAX5 can lead to leukemia and acute lymphoblastic conditions.
