Target Information
Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT)는 글루타티온의 글루타밀기를 다양한 아미노산 및 디펩타이드 수용체로 전달하는 효소로, 세포막 외부 표면에 위치하며 흡수 및 분비에 관여하는 포유류 조직에 널리 분포한다.
인간에서 간 질환 시 간 GGT 활성은 증가하며, GGT1은 간 손상 후 혈류로 방출되어 간암의 초기 징후로 활용될 수 있다.
GGT5는 Leukotriene C4를 Leukotriene D4로 전환하지만, 일반적인 GGT 측정용 합성 기질은 전환하지 않는다.
인간 혈청 및 조직에서 GGT의 이질성은 서로 다른 유전자 산물이 아닌 동일한 펩타이드의 당화 차이에 기인한다.
