Target Information
Apaf1(아파프1)는 세포사멸(apoptosis) 과정의 핵심 단백질로, cytochrome c(Apaf2) 및 Caspase-9(Apaf3)와 결합하여 Caspase-9을 활성화시킵니다. 활성화된 Caspase-9은 Caspase-3을 절단 및 활성화하여 세포사멸 관련 단백질들을 분해합니다.
Apaf1 Interacting Protein(APIP, CG129, MMRP19)은 Apaf1의 Caspase-9 결합 부위와 경쟁하여 허혈성 손상의 음성 조절자로 작용합니다. APIP는 204 아미노산을 암호화하며, APIP2는 N-말단이 다른 242 아미노산 길이의 스플라이싱 변이체입니다. APIP 전사는 대부분의 성체 조직에서 발현되며, 특히 골격근, 심장, 신장에서 높은 발현을 보입니다.
