Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) super-family에 속하는 이 유전자는 electrophilic 분자(발암물질, 돌연변이 유발물질, 치료 약물 등)의 해독 과정에서 글루타티온과의 결합 반응을 촉진하는 다기능 효소를 암호화합니다. 또한 페닐알라닌과 티로신의 대사에 중요한 역할을 하며, 이 효소의 결함은 alkaptonuria, phenylketonuria, tyrosinaemia 등 대사 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 다양한 단백질 아이소폼을 생성합니다.
