Target Information
Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF), also known as CCN2, is a secreted protein produced by umbilical veins and vascular endothelial cells. It contains an Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF)-binding domain, a thrombospondin type 1 domain, and a cysteine knot region. CTGF is involved in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, angiogenesis induction, and cell adhesion promotion in fibroblasts, endothelial, and epithelial cells.
