Target Information
Putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins form multiprotein complexes required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of homeotic genes throughout development. They act to maintain repression via histone methylation, leading to heritable chromatin changes. CLNS1A is involved in transcriptional regulation mediated by ligand-bound nuclear hormone receptors such as PPARG, acting as a coactivator to enhance adipocyte differentiation through recruitment of acetylated and methylated histone H3.
