Target Information
GCG는 GLP-1(Glucagon-like peptide-1) 또는 Glucagon으로도 알려져 있습니다. Glucagon은 29개의 아미노산으로 구성된 췌장 호르몬으로, glycogenolysis와 gluconeogenesis를 자극하여 인슐린의 혈당 강하 작용을 상쇄합니다.
GLP-1은 preproglucagon 분자의 7-37 코돈에서 유래하며, 췌장 베타세포를 glucose-competent 상태로 만들어 비인슐린 의존성 당뇨병 치료에 유용할 수 있습니다. 또한 강력한 인슐린 분비 촉진제로, 경구 포도당 섭취 시 혈장 인슐린 수치가 정맥 투여 시보다 높은 이유를 설명하는 enteroinsular axis의 주요 인자로 작용합니다.
