RPS24 is a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit and belongs to the S24E family. It is located in the cytoplasm. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes dispersed throughout the genome.
