Target Information
FAM120A may participate in mRNA transport in the cytoplasm and act as a critical component of oxidative stress-induced survival signaling. It activates Src family kinases and serves as a scaffolding protein enabling phosphorylation and activation of PI3-kinase. Additionally, it binds RNA and promotes secretion of IGF-II, potentially playing a pivotal role in the progression of scirrhous-type gastric cancer by supporting cancer cell survival under oxidative stress conditions.
