Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Specialized cells at the midline, separating the left and right halves of the CNS, direct growth cone behavior.
In vertebrate spinal cords, insect ventral nerve cords, and C. elegans, midline cells produce guidance cues such as nectins and slit, which act as attractants and repellents.
These cells function as gatekeepers preventing axons from crossing the midline and modulating growth cone responsiveness.
Robo proteins are axon guidance receptors forming a subfamily of Ig superfamily proteins conserved from fruit flies to mammals.
Robo acts as a receptor for the repellent Slit and functions cell-autonomously.
Non-crossing axons express high levels of Robo, while crossing axons express low levels before crossing and high levels afterward.
Robo1 and Robo2 are human homologs of the Drosophila Roundabout protein. Robo1 is homologous to C. elegans gene sax3, and Robo2 to zebrafish gene astray.
