Target Information
PMM2 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 mannose 6-phosphate를 mannose 1-phosphate로 이성화시키는 효소로, 이는 GDP-mannose 합성에 필요합니다. GDP-mannose는 dolichol-P-oligosaccharides 합성에 필수적이며, 이 유전자의 변이는 glycoprotein 생합성 결함을 유발하여 carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein syndrome type I로 나타날 수 있습니다.
