Target Information
SWAP70 is a 585 amino acid regulatory protein belonging to the pleckstrin-like family with a PH domain essential for phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate binding.
SWAP70 acts as a link between recognition of specific switch regions and induction of DNA breaks, participating in both nuclear processes and B-cell activation signaling.
As a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), it transduces signals from tyrosine kinase receptors to RAC independently of RAS.
It mediates membrane ruffling and actin cytoskeleton rearrangement through tyrosine kinase receptor signaling.
SWAP70 is widely expressed in most tissues, particularly in mature B-cells, monocytes, and macrophages.
