Target Information
Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins. The RPL34 gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is part of the 60S subunit and belongs to the L34E family. It is located in the cytoplasm and mapped to chromosome 4q. Multiple transcript variants and processed pseudogenes exist.
