LKB1 (also known as STK11 - Serine/threonine-protein kinase STK11)는 serine/threonine kinase 계열의 종양 억제 단백질로, p53과 상호작용하여 p53 의존성 세포사멸 경로를 조절합니다. LKB1은 세포질과 핵 모두에서 존재하며, 세포사멸 시 미토콘드리아로 이동합니다. 또한 AMPK 및 관련 kinase들을 조절하는 상위 조절 인자로 작용하며, LKB1 유전자 변이는 Peutz Jeghers syndrome과 관련되어 있습니다.
