MA1-517 detects Mist1 from mouse and human samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunohistochemistry procedures.
Reactivity in IP and ChIP is weaker than in other applications.
By Western blot, MA1-517 detects a ~29 kDa band representing Mist1.
The immunogen is mouse Mist1, C-terminus residues 175–197.
Target Information
Mist1 plays a role in controlling the transcriptional activity of MYOD1, ensuring that expanding myoblast populations remain undifferentiated.
Repression may occur through muscle-specific E-box occupancy by homodimers.
It may also negatively regulate bHLH-mediated transcription through an N-terminal repressor domain.
Mist1 serves as a key regulator of acinar cell function, stability, and identity.
It is required for normal organelle localization in exocrine cells and for mitochondrial calcium ion transport.
May function as a unique regulator of gene expression in several different embryonic and postnatal cell lineages.
Binds to the E-box consensus sequence 5'-CANNTG-3'.
