Target Information
The MTMR9 gene encodes a myotubularin-related protein that lacks the dual-specificity phosphatase domain found in most other family members. It contains a double-helical motif similar to the SET interaction domain, which may play a role in regulating cell proliferation. In mouse, a similar protein interacts with MTMR7 to dephosphorylate phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and inositol 1,3-bisphosphate.
