Target Information
Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family, found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It plays a key role in inducing apoptosis in target cells by activating caspase cascades and mitochondrial pathways. Granzyme B interacts with the mannose 6-phosphate receptor to mediate cytotoxic T cell-induced apoptosis. It is also known as CGL1 and CTLA-1, and is expressed specifically in activated cytotoxic lymphocytes.
