Target Information
PBK (TOPK) is a serine/threonine kinase related to dual specific mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPKK).
This kinase is up-regulated in various hematological malignancies, activates lymphoid cells, and supports testicular function (spermatogenesis).
Mitotic phosphorylation is required for its catalytic activity, and PBK/TOPK may play roles in lymphoid activation and spermatogenesis.
