Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, functioning as molecular scaffolds for multiprotein complex assembly at specialized plasma membrane regions. It is also part of the CARD protein family, characterized by the caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD). CARD domains of CARD11 and CARD14 specifically interact with BCL10, a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-κB activation. When expressed, this protein activates NF-κB and induces phosphorylation of BCL10.
