Target Information
Cancer-testis (CT) antigens are a class of antigens with restricted expression, typically limited to normal testis but aberrantly expressed in various tumors. Their immunogenicity in cancer patients makes them promising targets for tumor immunotherapy.
TCC52, a novel centrosomal protein, is one such CT antigen. It is a WD repeat-containing protein that interacts with the COP9 signalosome, a complex that regulates cullin-RING E3 ligases by hydrolyzing cullin-Nedd8 conjugates. The normal biological function of this protein remains unknown.
