PA1-181 can be used for activity-independent verification of Gaussia luciferase expression.
Target Information
Gaussia luciferase is a 20 kDa protein derived from the marine copepod Gaussia princeps.
This bioluminescent enzyme is highly secreted into cell culture media, enabling live cell monitoring of reporter activity.
Light output from the luciferase reaction correlates with the amount of Gaussia luciferase protein produced, allowing assessment of promoter activity.
Gaussia luciferase can be used individually or in multiplex assays such as the Gaussia-Firefly Luciferase Dual Assay Kit (Product #16181).
The Gaussia luciferase has been codon optimized for enhanced performance.
