Target Information
TMEM176B (also known as LR8) is a transmembrane protein belonging to the MS4A family. It may play a role in dendritic cell maturation. TMEM176B was first identified in human lung fibroblasts and is associated with small cell lung carcinoma. Studies suggest involvement in cancer and potential as a target for antiangiogenic therapy. Two isoforms are produced by alternative splicing.
